Week 5: The Shoot

The set was set up against a blue screen (we couldn't access a green one) with a two point lighting system. Ideally we would have had three lights, two for the screen and one for the set but the CLR didn't have another operational Red Head light to give us. This meant that there was too much shadow on the blue screen but i should be able to key that out.

A 50mm Prime Camera was used with a 1.8 lens, at an ISO of 100 with aperture ranging from 1.8 to 2.5  as the focus was bing altered as the shots progressed. This will make keeping the charaters in and out of focus be a little tricky but I can animated them coming in and out of focus and go by eye.

Animatic and Footage:

This is the footage shot cut to the animatic and is longer than the original animatic clocking at 38s. It is improbable that I will be able to create animation for all the shots so I will focus on the first shot as it is the establishing opening shot and shows most of the set.

Cut footage:

The footage was shot with a hand held camera so the footage is a bit too shaky. Before I animate I will need to stabilise the shots to make it easier to animate and to make the movement to be a little aggressive.
